Maintenance Technician
• Good communication skills including Reading and Writing English
• 3-5 years’ Job specific experience
• Competent in diagnosing problems and the repair of:
Electrical motors, pumps and components
Pneumatic pistons and circuits
Hydraulic circuit
Electrical-Mechanical Controls
• A responsible independent worker, effectively self-manage time, able to prioritize work
• Work within the Health and Safety Rules set out by the company
• Work at heights – Elevated Work Platform training and asset
• Use of various hand tools, Electrical Testing Devises
Duties and Responsibilities
• Perform Preventative Maintenance and repairs on all in plant plastic processing production equipment.
• Perform electrical component diagnostics, and the repair and replacement of motors, pumps, etc.
• Maintain and organized department, inventory of spare parts and supplies, keep an electronic log of all service conducted.
• Fabricate brackets, fixtures
• Move equipment in and out of service
• Source and order supplies from vendors.
Non-essential job tasks considered as an asset:
• Installation or repair of compressed air and process water Lines.
• Maintenance of Air Compressors, and Chiller Systems
• Welding using Arc, Mig or Tig.
• HVAC Maintenance
• Millwright
• Knowledge of Conical Extruders used in PVC production.
NO license required, but experience necessary
Rate: $28-29/hr.
